| There is extensive support for Enclosures (also called "podcasts" or "videocasts") within FeederReader. For a basic walkthrough on downloading and playing media files, see the Media Walkthrough. Enclosures can be automatically downloaded or downloaded manually. To set up for automatic downloads, you turn on the "Download on Update" option. To download manually, you can go to the message containing the enclosure or podcast, and tap the Download icon. Once downloaded, you can play the podcasts using the Enclosure Toolbar. From left to right, the icons on the Toolbar are Play, Play Next, Show Playing, Download, Delete, Delete-Play Next. You can play through the podcasts with either Play Next or Delete-Play Next. If you use Delete-Play Next, then FeederReader automatically deletes the Enclosure that you just listened to. So there's no extra "clean up" that you have to do. Just keep listening and keep downloading. With Play Next and Delete-Play Next, they do not interrupt your reading of any messages. You stay right where you are. If you want to see the show notes of the currently playing podcast, just tap the Show Playing icon and it'll take you right there. Here are some examples of the shownotes in podcasts. From short to long to outline. |
